Thomas Vowles was the grandfather of Anne, wife of Thomas Tilley (1849-1936). His daughter Judith was Anne's mother. He was born in Rodney Stoke, Somerset, in 1786, married Judith Taylor and died on 31 August 1860.
Judith's baptism record shows she was born on 18 December 1814.
Judith married farmer Edwin Tyley on 12 July 1840.
Judith Vowles and Edwin Tyley were married at St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol.
Thomas (1786-1860) was a farmer of Rodney Stoke, Somerset. The family goes back a further five generations all living in Rodney Stoke. Thomas's parents were John (1752-1811) who married Ann Masters. John's parents were John (1716-80) who married Jane Clouter. His parents were Henry (1680-1718) who married Margaret Hurlestone. Henry's father was Walter (1621) who married Elizabeth and finally Walter's father was James born approximately 1600.
