Memories
“My brother’s death shattered my mother and father, who never really recovered from the blow. I was in South Africa, where first of all I got a phone call from my father saying 'Nick’s gone' and hours later the original telegram saying he had had a serious accident. It certainly poleaxed me. Despite the eight years difference in age, we were very close indeed – I remember combing the countryside with him for butterflies and birds eggs, we assembled impressive collections of each!” — Robert James Tilley (1938 - 2015)
