Henry Tilley
Henry, the youngest child of Matthew and Anne [Baller] Tilley, was baptised on 2 September 1750 at St Gregory’s Church, Weare. He married Mary Stock at St Gregory’s Church, Weare, on 3 May 1773. Mary was the daughter of John and Hannah Stock and she was baptised at The Church of St Augustine in Clutton, Somerset, on 13 April 1756. They had four children, William (1776-1869), Miriah (b.1780), Sexa (1782-1828) and George (b.1786).
Henry was buried in Weare on 3 September 1819, while Mary was also buried in Weare on 24 December 1834.
St Gregory’s Church in Weare, where Henry was baptised, dates from the 11th Century.
The register book shows Henry Tilley was baptised on 2 September 1750.
Henry and Mary married at St Gregory’s Church, Weare, on 3 May 1773.
Henry's wife Mary Stock was baptised on 13 April 1756.
