Sarah [Duckett] Tilley
Sarah was the daughter of farmers William and Sarah [Fear] Duckett from Mark, Somerset. She was baptised on 23 March 1824 at St Mary's Church, Wedmore.
Sarah was the youngest of eight, the others being Mary Ann (1801-6), William (1802-55), Elizabeth (1804-48), Joseph (1807-46), Maria (1808), George (1812), David (1814-86). William married Ellen House and had no children; Elizabeth married Joseph Wollen; Joseph was not married; Maria married George Dibble; George married Anna Dibble and had a family (descendants went to Camberwell in London); David married Selina Cox and farmed at Meare (descendants in Keinton Mandeville).
Sarah married Thomas Tilley, the son of Jane [Webber] and William Tilley (1775-1869), at the parish church of Weare, Somerset, on 10 June 1845.
The couple had two children: Sarah, who was born in 1847 and lived for less than a week, and Thomas (1849-1936).
Sarah died aged 38 on 2 December 1858 in Cross and was buried on 9 December at St Andrew's Church, Compton Bishop.

Sarah was baptised on 23 March 1824.

Sarah’s death certificate of 15 December 1858 shows she died of a diseased liver at the age of 38.
The census of 1841, shows Sarah Duckett as a 20-year-old living with her parents, William (1773-1851) and Sarah [Fear] (1777-1846) Duckett, and her older brothers David, Joseph and William in the parish of Mark, Somerset.
